Steven Stanley Manolakis is an award-winning fine art aerial photographer based in Australia. Originally from America, he has gained recognition for capturing the beauty of nature from unique, unseen perspectives. Through his thoughtful approach and eye for composition, his work has earned acclaim in the global art community and numerous prestigious awards.
Steven’s current portfolio highlights the beauty of Australia, focusing on breathtaking landscapes from these regions:
The Kimberley, Western Australia
Hutt Lagoon, Western Australia
Shark Bay, Western Australia
Kati Thanda–Lake Eyre, South Australia
The Whitsunday Islands, Queensland
Lake MacLeod, Western Australia
This collection reflects Steven’s dedication to showcasing Australia’s diverse and striking natural beauty.
All Limited Edition works are captured with a Phase One XF IQ4 150MP camera. Open Edition works, on the other hand, are photographed using a Canon EOS 5DS R, the first camera Steven used for aerial photography before upgrading to the Phase One XF IQ4. You may notice that the largest Open Edition prints are smaller than the largest Limited Edition prints. This is due to resolution and quality considerations, as the Canon EOS 5DS R is an older model with a smaller sensor.
Yes, Steven Stanley Manolakis personally signs every print. Each signed piece is carefully rolled and packed in a padded tube to ensure it arrives safely and without damage to your home or business.
Each print is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity (COA) with matching serially-numbered Level 2 holograms for anti-tamper and anti-counterfeit protection. These holograms feature a custom-designed layout with multiple holographic and security effects, including overt and covert features, making them particularly difficult to replicate. Custom animations and specialised production techniques further enhance their uniqueness, providing both security and a polished appearance.

Printing
We specialise in premium giclée prints, renowned for their vibrant colours, intricate details, and unmatched durability. This state-of-the-art printing process uses large-format inkjet printers to deliver exceptional colour accuracy and fine detail, making it the preferred choice for fine art reproduction.
All our prints are produced on Ilford Smooth Cotton Rag 310gsm, a 100% cotton, museum-grade paper with a smooth matte finish. This archival-quality paper is the default choice for all our artwork, ensuring long-lasting image stability and enhancing the depth and richness of the colours. Unless a different paper is specifically requested, this premium option is used to maintain the highest standards of quality and beauty in every print.
For additional details about our printing methods and materials, visit our Printing page.
The Giclée Printing Method is a state-of-the-art technique used to produce high-resolution prints with exceptional detail and colour accuracy. Large-format inkjet printers apply ink with microscopic precision, ensuring colours are perfectly matched and seamlessly blended. It’s the preferred method of Steven Stanley Manolakis, chosen for its ability to deliver prints of unmatched quality and fidelity.
Yes, all our prints are made using archival materials, ensuring they remain vibrant and undamaged for decades when properly cared for.
To ensure the longevity of your giclée print, avoid direct sunlight, high humidity, or extreme temperature changes. Handle the print with clean hands or gloves to prevent smudges and damage. If unframed, store it flat in an archival sleeve or acid-free tissue paper to protect it from dust and scratches. For framed prints, dust regularly and clean glazing with an ammonia-free glass cleaner applied to a microfiber cloth.

Our standard timber frames are meticulously crafted from Tasmanian Oak, a beautiful timber cherished within the Australian art community. Its colour typically ranges from straw to reddish-brown, with intermediate shades of cream to pink.
Our premium timber frames are milled from Rosewood, a richly-colored hardwood indigenous to New Guinea. Renowned for its expressive grain, this wood features a striking spectrum of hues, ranging from caramel to deep reddish-brown.
Seeing as timber is a natural material, please note that it can vary significantly in appearance, colour, and grain.
Limewashing is a technique used to finish or refresh the appearance of hardwood timber frames. It involves applying a mixture of slaked lime, water, and pigments directly onto the surface of the wood. This process not only adds a layer of protection to the timber but also imparts a subtle, rustic finish, resulting in a soft white colour. Limewashing is known for highlighting the natural grain and texture of hardwood while offering a breathable and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional paints or stains.
Our fine art prints are framed with museum-grade, archival-quality anti-glare glass. This glass provides scratch resistance and 70% UV protection to preserve the artwork’s longevity and clarity. For special artwork, such as pieces in very large frames, we use high-quality acrylic glazing. Acrylic is lighter than glass and offers enhanced durability, minimising the risk of breakage during handling.
All framed artwork comes standard with a split batten hanging system, providing the heavy-duty support your artwork demands to stay in place and remain flush with the wall. For enquiries regarding alternative hanging systems, please contact Steven directly.
Splines are thin wooden strips inserted into the corners of a picture frame, providing added strength and structural support while enhancing the frame's visual appeal. To learn more about the craftsmanship of our frames, visit our Framing page.

To maintain your framed artwork, avoid exposure to direct sunlight, moisture, or extreme temperatures. For cleaning, use a soft, dry cloth to gently dust the frame. For the glazing, a microfiber cloth and an ammonia-free glass cleaner, such as Windex, work best to remove smudges and keep it clear. Be sure to spray the cleaner onto the cloth rather than directly onto the glazing to prevent any liquid from seeping into the frame.
Yes, if you're unsure about the best frame option, our team can guide you based on your style preferences and space requirements.
