Whitsunday Island, Queensland

Whitsunday Island is the largest of the multitude of islands that make up the Whitsunday archipelago, located between the northeast Queensland coast and the Great Barrier Reef, the world’s largest coral reef system and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is where the award-winning 7km stretch of shoreline known as Whitehaven Beach, together with Hill Inlet at the beach’s northern end, provide a breathtaking collage of brilliant white sand, turquoise waters and tidal sapphire hues.
